About Us

Pace Law is a premier boutique law firm with a refreshing approach to the practice of law: We have no agenda other than your success.

With us, you receive highly skilled, energetic, business-savvy lawyers with big firm experience. But, you avoid the red tape, conflicts of interest, and superfluous billing that would leave you feeling like what’s in your interests doesn’t really matter. To us, it’s all that matters. We remain focused on your goal, because you’re a client, not a case.

Our Philosophy

Our aim is to truly understand our client’s underlying business issues – their intentions, priorities, concerns, and hopes. We explore, encourage, facilitate, and develop intelligent strategies through our greatest skills: listening and understanding.

Our “cut-the-bull-but-not-the-corners” philosophy inspires a different kind of interaction with our clients – one that feels more like a relationship than a stale business transaction. If this is of interest to you, we invite you to contact one of our lawyers to discuss how we might serve you.

    Business Litigation

Each lawsuit is unique. As a result, we understand that there is no such thing as a one size fits all approach to business litigation. Regardless of your motive or goals, our depth and experience provides us with the tools to handle all of your commercial litigation needs.

Because we are a boutique law firm, we are rarely conflicted out of major litigation. And we are nimble enough to efficiently take on a variety of matters. You can rest assured that your cases will be staffed leanly, but with partner involvement at every step. So, while we admittedly may lack the headcount of some larger firms, we guarantee that you will know every lawyer representing you, as well as precisely what each lawyer is doing along the way.

Our commercial litigation practice covers a wide range of cases, including, but not limited to:

    • Complex business litigation
    • Contract disputes
    • Construction litigation
    • Banking litigation, including debt collection, asset recovery, security interest enforcement/protection, and receivership installations

    Entertainment Litigation

Our firm has developed considerable experience in the litigation of entertainment matters. Legal disputes involving entertainers, athletes and celebrities commonly face unique influences, both internal and external. Our keen understanding of these influences, coupled with our legal skill, has provided our firm the privilege of successfully representing several Grammy Award winning artists, a Grammy-nominated artist, multi-platinum selling artists, prominent NFL football players, a film production company, post-production company, and a host of talented and creative individuals. Our lawyers have lectured at legal conferences regarding celebrity litigation, been featured on television as experts regarding celebrity litigation, and have been acclaimed by Georgia Elite magazine as a “Legal Elite” in the area of entertainment and sports law.

We have handled and resolved a broad range of entertainment-related matters, including but not limited to:

    • Rights to privacy and publicity, including the misuse of a name or likeness and claims of misattribution
    • Breaches of industry specific contracts
    • Oversight of royalty audits
    • Defamation and the First Amendment
    • Trademark and copyright litigation
    • Agency and contractor liability
    • Crisis management

We work seamlessly with the celebrity’s business managers, public relations experts, and other staff members and professionals to ensure that all collateral aspects of the dispute are considered and factored into our chosen strategy.

    Trade Secrets +
    Restrictive Covenants

    Trade Secrets + Restrictive Covenants

Our clients are passionate about protecting their confidential information, trade secrets, and restrictive covenants, as this information often represents the very life-blood of their businesses. When a former employee or competitor seeks to misappropriate that information or otherwise violate a restrictive covenant, it is our job to swiftly safeguard and recover that property. Similarly, when a client is wrongfully accused of stealing an employer’s information or violating a restrictive covenant, our extensive experience ensures that we are uniquely equipped to come to their defense in very short order.

We have handled all aspects of trade secret/restrictive covenant litigation, including, but not limited to:

    • Litigating the enforceability of non-compete, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure covenants
    • Prosecuting and defending emergency TRO’s and/or preliminary injunctions
    • Developing and implementing preventive measures to protect confidential information, trade secrets, and intellectual property
    • Overseeing forensic analysis of electronically stored information to uncover theft or wrongdoing
    • Litigating Computer Fraud and Abuse Act claims

    Aviation Industry

Charles A. Lindbergh is credited with stating: “What freedom lies in flying, what Godlike power it gives to men… I lose all consciousness in this strong unmortal space crowded with beauty, pierced with danger.” In that statement, he encapsulated the contagious passion unique to the aviation community. As aviators, we certainly understand and share that passion. And we are able to employ our knowledge of and experience in that community with our second passion: the practice of law.

Our knowledge of the aviation industry also positions us to be particularly effective in prosecuting or defending claims concerning aircraft and equipment purchase, brokerage or lease agreements, negligence involving aircraft or component design, manufacturing and maintenance, account collection, and enforcement of security interests/asset recovery.

By using our detailed comprehension of the aviation industry, we represent and assist business entities and high-net-worth individuals with a broad range of aviation-related legal services, including:

    • The sale, purchase, finance, brokerage, lease and charter of all civil aircraft types and aircraft components
    • The management of aircraft, provision of pilot services, airport and FBO handling agreements, and hangar leases
    • The creation of co-ownership or partnership relationships, including fractional programs (co-owning an aircraft with up to 15 co-owners enjoying shared use), and preparation of master interchange agreements
    • Risk management counseling
    • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) matters
    • The import and export of aircraft

    • Negligent construction claims
    • Design defect claims

Our Process

Assess Obstacles in Context
Legal problems don’t exist in vacuums, so it’s critical to assess them in their proper context. We take the time to thoroughly discuss and analyze the variables surrounding obstacles – not just the obstacle itself.
Chart Efficient Path to Goal
Shooting from the hip is never a wise legal strategy. From the beginning of the engagement, we work hand-in-hand with you to develop an efficient road to your goal, explaining the steps and your options along the way.
Skillfully Execute
The world’s greatest plan is worthless if not properly executed. Using our skill and expertise, we won’t rest until the task is completed and your goals are achieved.
We don’t view the practice of law as a solitary exercise, but instead, a team effort. Because our attorneys collaborate on every case, engaging our firm means you are engaging the collective wisdom of all our resources.
Our attorneys believe their primary job is to prevent and resolve disputes, not stoke the flames of conflict. To accomplish this, we always provide our clients with candid, straightforward counsel on all their options, as well as the likely consequences for each choice.
“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” — Abraham Lincoln. Our attorneys believe the same applies to every legal challenge, which is why we never take action without preparation and an intelligent strategy.
Spending time in your office is a lot more productive for us than spending time in ours. You deserve to be represented by attorneys who truly understand the ins-and-outs of your profession.
Though based in Atlanta, our attorneys routinely handle matters for clients across the United States. We invite you to contact us to learn more about our national reach and local counsel partnerships.
Do we fit the part? Let’s work together.
